Turns out I have a thing to say about the current political & government landscape of America. So I present to you today MY TRUMP CARD (playing card… get it?)
I used the new amazing Wardway Film Service Mailers that I put in the shop this week. They’re the most amazing little envelopes!
The first thing I did was stencil some UWS Potty People on the right corner — I used a micron pen to trace the same shape & then did big huge Xs through the female identifying population. I also marked out Washington’s eyes.
There was a very convenient tear in this particular envelope that allowed me to insert a diecut skull as a pull out w/ secret message! So I prepared the tear with some so flat carbon black paint in a pattern around the opening. I also punched holes & set eyelets to reinforce the focal point of the opening.
I used my typewriter and some vintage ephemera scarps to type FUCK YOUR FASCISM onto the skull. The eye has been crossed out w/ my sewing machine. The MY TRUMP CARD title is made from vintage ephemera pieces of text that I’ve cut and glued together. I’m not usually one to hunt out specific words in my ephemera… it makes more sense to me to build the words I need using various texts. and I LOVE the result each & every time.
There we are! week 2 in the BAG!
