Today I’m sharing a project for Seek Gather Create – an instagram challenge hosted by Lisa Goddard, Tina Hois & Laura Denison.
They’ve invited 4 guest artists this February to participate with a prompt. Each artist gets their own week & this week is Jack Ravi.
As for the prompts they are : A key, navy blue, an insect & something rusty!
Here’s my lil piece with a few instructions & supply list:

I started w/ a rust dyed piece of watercolor paper & did a full page image transfer using Liquitex Matte Medium. the background is SO DELICIOUS. It’s been splattered with Liquitex Soft Body Payne’s Gray. I added a lot of water and brushed it across in various areas.
The top right corner is all layered up! it’s a bit of sari silk stitched to the top, a vintage stamp tucked underneath & a piece of vintage book spine & cover on top.
& the main focal point of this bit is a chipboard death’s-head hawk moth stitched & glued w/ a a vintage key.
layers on layers!
Make sure to find these girls on instagram & join the fun! there are LOADS of prizes being offered, including from me & UmWowStudio.
