Yesterday was The Ugly Art Club’s weaving play date… thinking weaving outside of the box. The whole day was really great and full of inspiration, both from us, the founders, AND the students who attended! their ability to problem solve & find alternate solutions for materials was so inspiring.
Tiffany did a great chunked up weaving through some chicken wire. I did weaving a vintage photograph in a frame loom.
But Kristin… man OH man Kristin introduced weaving paper WITHOUT a loom to get these stand alone woven bits that really set my brain on fire. I have made tons of them. I will continue to make tons of them. using all sorts of scraps & pieces I have in my stash…
