I am returning to Crafty AF in August of 2026!

I am absolutely THRILLED to be heading back up to the North Washington area!

So super honored my friend Jennifer has invited me back to her studio in Tacoma called Crafty AF. I mean… COME ON!!! CRAFTY AF! SOLD! hahaha

We have 3 classes lined up to choose from – an evening class & 2 day classes, all with different techniques in mixed media.

Matriarchy Tag Book

Let’s spend the afternoon working some mixed media magic via MATRIARCHY! We’ll dive into some incredible techniques while channeling goodness.

Techniques :

Master sheet work w/ wet AND dry collage
How to make a tag book
Image transfers
Using vintage photos
3D elements
Storytelling

Students should bring:

Basic mixed media kit : scissors, paint brushes, apron, needle & thread, stapler, permanent pens, paint markers, glue stick (i prefer Uhu), thick wet adhesive (3 in 1 or Fabri-Tac etc.) a few fabric scraps, favorite washi + other tapes.

This workshop is 4-5 hours long. We have snacks available in the shop, you are welcome to bring your own snacks.

To ensure you have the best experience, we provide aprons and a convenient hand washing sink for your use. However, we recommend wearing clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit of paint on, just in case creativity takes a colorful turn. We hope you enjoy your time creating and expressing yourself in our vibrant space!

Gelli Printed Accordion Book

We’re going to do all things GELLI PRINTED! for some incredible translucent layers that turn into a beautiful accordion book.

Student’s Supplies :

Basic mixed media kit, scissors, paint brushes, apron, needle & thread, stapler, Acrylic paint in 3 favorite colors + neutrals, Paints I KNOW work well (but bring YOUR faves): Dina Wakley, Amsterdam, Waverly Inspirations – matte finish, Golden So Flat, Paint markers, Paintbrushes – think a small and medium round, a small and medium flat, Permanent ink pad in 3 favorite colors + black, Palette knife

NOTE – the shop has plenty of paint brushes, scissors and embroidery floss available for students to use at no charge. The shop sells adhesives, and other items if you need them. Some students are willing to share thier supplies. Please talk to us if you are concerned about the items! This should NOT be the reason to skip the class.

Spooky RoloDex

This is a quick moving workshop, full of all sorts of goodness.

We’ll build a 3D roloDex box & alter a TON of index cards that insert! I mean COME ON!

Student’s Supplies :

Basic mixed media kit, scissors, paint brushes, apron, needle & thread, stapler, Paints in your three fave (or spooky) colors, scissors, a stitching needle/small sewing kit & a few crochet / embroidery threads, poker/piercing tool, adhesive (3 in 1, FabriTac or similar), permanent pens, metallic paint markers

Note – Please dont allow supplies to be a concern! The shop has paint brushes, scissors, and watercolors. Many other students are willing to share their supplies. Adhesives are available for sale in the shop.
